Teen films always have common locations within the home, college, sports fields and 'hang out' locations.
Locations within the home :
- the bedroom where we are introduced to the character and it tells us something about their personality
- the dining room where a lot of arguments and discussions go on with teenagers parents
- the basement and attic where the teenagers hang out and have a place to get away from the parents
Locations within school/college :
- the entrance of the school/college where we see all the different groups hanging around before the lesson starts
- by the lockers in the corridor where a group of friends are having a chat before they go to different places
- the canteen/ lunch hall where we see a number of teenagers and some that are getting bullied or seen as an outcast
Sports Locations :
- basketball court where the captain and team members are training or competing against another team
- football field where we can see cheerleaders and the school team
- the changing rooms where we see someone getting bullied or wen the team are getting ready/changed
'Hang Out' locations :
- fast-food restaurants where we see group of friends having a meal or where a couple are having lunch/dinner
- in the car when the boy is dropping off the girl to her house (in the evening)
- shopping centres mainly in films aimed at girls where the group of girls are out doing shopping
- house parties where teenagers gather to celebrate a birthday or just hang out, drink and smoke
