Representations use stereotypes to convey ideas
about "types of characters". Stereotypes are elaborate exaggerations.
They are not real but are completely constructive. Representations are
constructed through costumes, lighting, camera, sounds, music, actions, and
props. These stereotypes used, give the viewers an insight into the
character's personality.
The movie "Not another teen movie" is
an example of stereotypical characters. The key elements portrays
about the characters are just exaggerated.
