A title sequence is the method by which cinematic films or television programs present their title, key production and cast members, or both, utilising conceptual visuals and sound. Initially, the production company introduces the film followed by distribution company.
At the beginning of films, various different characters are introduced after the production and distribution company as well as the film title. These characters names are always near the start of movies. The title sequence does not only include the characters but also people involved in the making of the film. At times a list of well known actors and actresses (celebrities) will have their names first before the movie tittle which means that they are more important characters and are known for their roles in other popular and well known films giving a high opportunity of a bigger selling point.
On the other hand if a director's name appears at the start, this means that the name of the film is not an aspect of the advertisement of the film but the director's name is as he is famous and has a higher chance of attracting people as the films selling point. In other words he is really well known and important for making other popular films therefore his name promotes the film. Additionally titles are in contracts and are negotiated by lawyers before the production of the film.
