Rough Cut - Evaluation

I think the rough cut of our opening scene is quite good. We used a range of shots throughout which I think shows our ability to incorporate different shots and shows that we understand their uses in a scene. I think the editing is also quite good as each shot flows into the next. One shot did not cut into the next straight away and left the screen blank which is something we will be modifying in the editing. We also need to change the font sizes for the title sequence so that the job title is in bold and the persons name is in lower case to make it look more interesting and follow other films title sequences. I believe our teachers and peers were right about the music being too repetitive so we will change it completely to one song that will run in the background but will also range in volume and beats. My favourite scenes are the flashbacks as the Senis who is playing Leah managed to create believable reactions to Cain and the situations they are put in. In conclusion, I believe that the editing and acting from our rough cut is quite good, however, the editing could be tighter and the music could be more interesting to ensure that the audience do not get bored.
